Redesign!! 17/07/2004 Yes once again it's been a while since my last blog but if you're a regular to my site you'll have noticed a few changes. Things are different at MadTV! The first page that greets you now is XHTML not Flash, indeed the whole site's been re-written in XHTML. "Why?" I hear you cry. Well I've always been a little uncomfortable excluding visitors who don't have the Flash plug-in from my site; this way everyone's invited. From palm pilots to old browsers everyone can see my site. Added to this is the inability of search engines to index Flash, yes I know I'd found a way around this but it wasn't the most elegant of solutions; And finally it was FUN! I really enjoyed reworking my site and I'm very happy with the outcome. It's not finished yet, I'm still tweaking. The navigation order will be rethought, it's no longer logical and I am going to add breadcrumb navigation to keep the accessibility guru's happy. Of course for the Flash fans my Flash site's still there, just click "Flash Site" on the navigation. It will be kept up to date. In fact it will be getting its long awaited reworking at some point (when I don't have tons of projects). Mad
