Set up a "Blame Chain" in your workplace.
This works very simply but can be highly entertaining. Let's say for the sake of argument that you have 3 people in your office not counting the boss. We shall call them Tom, Fred and Lisa. Now you have a little conflab and Tom agrees to blame Fred, who in turn agrees to blame Lisa, who will always blame Tom.
Try it, believe me it works. It does however depend on absolute sincerity on the part of the partcipants. When the boss comes round the second time you must, in shrill tones, declaim that you know for certain it was the next person down the chain etc...
