Well I downloaded the Beta of Internet Explorer 7 from MSDN yesterday. So I thought I'd put up my first thoughts :
Bit disappointed in one way, as it's the same render engine, we'll have to wait for later Beta's to see the new one. Shame I was looking forward to seeing what kind of CSS 2 compliance IE is bringing to the table.
I love the tabs, IE's needed them for years now. I was surprised to see the tab bar above the toolbar though. It seems odd to put the tool bar anywhere except where we expect it to be.
Transparent PNG support: About time MS, we've only been asking for years.
The bit I like best is IE's new RSS support. Land on a page with a feed linked to it and the feeds button lights up, click it and the resultant dialog and it shows you the feed nicely formatted (I assume that if there's XSLT file for the feed it uses that formatting instead) as a page with the option to add the feed to favourites (see the screen shot below).
So far I've not seen any instability or issues but it's early days. I'll keep you posted.
